  1. The word “Kiss” came from the Old English word ‘cyssan’from the proto-Germanic kussijanan or kuss, which is probably based on the sound kissing.

  21. As per the Guinness World Records, the longest-lasting kiss record goes to Ekkachai and Laksana Tiranarat of Thailand. They locked lips for 58 hours, 35 minutes and 58 seconds.
  22. Kissing passionately for 90 seconds can elevate blood pressure and increase the pulse rate and also increases the level of hormones in the blood, thus reducing life by one minute.
  23. According to the recent study, men who kiss their wives before going for work live five years longer than those who just slam the door and they are even more prone to traffic accidents.
