That’s pretty obvious, your pair of jeans make you feel ultra comfortable with respective styles narrow, skinny or be it regular. But have you guys, ever wondered about that tiny little pocket in the side front of your jeans where you usually slip in your thumb finger? Well, breaking the curiosity, here’s the reason of it’s existence.
The origin of these tiny pockets was discovered back in 1800s for keeping the pocket watches safe and secure. Long time back, the cowboys were fascinated with wearing pocket watches with chains which they kept in their waist coats. Hence, for better security of the watches, the renown jeans brand “Levi’s” introduced those small tiny pockets in the pair of jeans where the watches could be kept easily.
However, those tiny pockets served many other utilities with time such as stacking up coins, keeping condoms, matches and even tickets. Interesting, isn’t it?
