2019 Bridal Trends

Beauty inspiration has struck the wedding industry with trends jumping onto the scene with a splash. While the upheaval of old traditions continues to rock the planning side of ceremonies and receptions, the latest bridal trends combine classic favorites with modern style to create something wholly unique.

The same way that sorority dresses have changed within the past year, wedding dresses have seen a luxury revival thanks to the recent royal wedding.

Here are some of the trends taking over the better half of as we move into:

From the Top Down

Hairstyles changed drastically with these new trends, updating classic styles while offering bold looks that embrace your inner rock star. Accessories like veils and flower crowns are still in, but the way they are being worn provides a more elegant appeal.

The tiara is making a comeback in lieu of the royal wedding, but traditional updos and chignons are out. Instead, the chignon now features a higher placed bun. Meanwhile, the updo is slightly messier to accommodate natural, modern looks.

Long veils are perfect for modern updos as well as smooth blowouts for shorter hair, but keep the veil as minimalistic as possible. Center parts with velvet bows and longer hair tucked behind the ears are also keeping with minimal stylings, while bouncy curls are also in the forefront of 2019 style.

On the other end of the spectrum, statement hair is entering a revival. Boho beach waves and larger than life faux hawks have made their way down the aisle. Modern ponytails featuring cornrows, sleek ends, and hair-wrapped bases also give wedding looks a unique flair.

Makeup

Makeup trends for 2019 follow the same two extremes; a minimalistic style and daring, bold colors. When opting for the latter, metallic lipstick and pops of silver across the eyelids create a futuristic look. Bold eyeliner with equally bold brows are combining with burgundy lips for an equally stunning appeal.

If minimal is more your style, then less is more. Utilize your natural glow with a splash of rose to bring out your beautiful complexion. Highlighter on the high points of your face can help add radiance. If cosmetically changing your look for the wedding is on your checklist, you can get answers here on plastic surgery.

Dress

Wedding dresses for next year have honed in on classic brilliance, adding a splash of modern taste for a bold look. Open back and v-cut necklines are definitely in, as are sleeveless designs with flowing capes instead of gowns.

Subtle floral patterns pair with the minimal styles above, while dazzling sparkles compliment the all-out looks in both makeup and hairstyle. Sleeveless is a popular option moving forward, but those holding their big day in colder weather can take advantage of the various sheer sleeves that made their debut on the runway.

While form-fitting dresses have pushed forward into 2019 trends, the classic princess gown is all the rage thanks to the royal wedding. You can find this look an a wide variety of styles, allowing you to make it your own on your special day.
