Most Awaited Upcoming Hollywood Movies Of 2017

Half the year of 2017 has gone treating film buffs with some enticing movies in these last six months. From Johnny Depp’s “Pirates of the Caribbean,” Priyanka Chopra’s “Baywatch,” to Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson’s “Fifty Shades Darker” viewers were treated to a vast range of subjects on the big screen.

But more entertainment is yet to come and you would surely like to know which big stars will grace the silver screen in the cinema halls in the next half of the year 2017. The list is certainly impressive as you will get to see hot Hollywood favorites including Daniel Craig, Katie Holmes, Robert Downey Jr, Jennifer Lawrence and much more giving life to their characters on the screen through their superb acting skills.

One of the most-awaited June releases included “Wonder Woman” staring Gal Gabot in the lead and has really done very well at the box-office.  Another one, “The Mummy” which is a reboot of the original film by the same name starring Tom Cruise in the lead is doing well overseas.

1. The Beguiled (June 23, 2017)

Cast: Colin Farrell, Kirsten Dunst, Nicole Kidman, Elle Fanning, Angourie Rice, and Oona Laurence

Director: Sofia Coppola

Synopsis: Farrell plays an injured Union soldier who is imprisoned in the boarding school of girls. He is very clever and wins the hearts of the lonely women and induces them to turn against each other. The star cast is great and it will be fun to watch Dunst, Fanning, and Kidman in the same frame on the big screen. Coppola has always impressed with her films and her period works such as “Marie Antoinette” and “The Virgin Suicides” are simply lovable.

The story of “The Beguiled” is adapted from the book by Thomas Cullinan which was previously made into a film starring Clint Eastwood.
