7 ‘Chakras’ are the energy spots in our body through which energy flows. Each of the 7 chakras has its own distinctive character that relates to an eccentric aspect of our being. The word ‘chakra’ is derived from the Sanskrit word ‘wheel’, which is literally means ‘Wheel of spinning Energy’, which implies to a whirling vortex like powerhouse of energy.

The chakras however coordinate to the levels of consciousness, functions of body, elements, colors, sounds, and much more. The blocked energy in one’s body’s 7 Chakras can cause illness more often so it’s crucial to understand and analyze the role and the ramification of each Chakra and what can be done to keep energy flowing swiftly. Every single chakra is ruled by the spiritual laws and the principles of consciousness that could be used for cultivating greater happiness, harmony and well being in our lives and all across the globe. 7. Crown Chakra

The colour is violet and is located at the top of your head that is the crown. It is coordinated with the cerebral cortex, (CNS) central nervous system and the pituitary gland. It is associated with information, understanding, acceptance, bliss, inner and outer beauty. It is considered as your own centre of connection with God, the Chakra which is for divine purpose and personal destiny. Blockage can lead to psychological problems like headaches, photo sensitivity, mental illness, neuralgia, senility, right/left brain disorders, coordination problems, epilepsy, varicose veins and blood vessel problems.

6. Third Eye or Brow Chakra

The colour is Indigo which is a combination of red and blue. It is associated with the centre of your forehead at eye level or slightly above between your eyebrows. This Chakra is for questioning the spiritual nature of our life and it is correlated to question, perception and knowing. It is affiliated with inner vision, intuition, imagination, wisdom, ability to think and decision making. Your dreams for your present life and recollections of other lifetimes are amalgamated in this Chakra. The blockage could lead to problems like lack of foresight, thyroid imbalances, mental rigidity, ‘selective’ memory, depression, swollen glands, fevers and flu, infections and mouth, jaw, tongue, neck and shoulders issues, hyperactivity, learning disabilities and sleeping disorders.

5. Throat Chakra

The colour is blue or turquoise and it’s centre is within the throat. It is the Chakra associated with communication, creativity, self-expression of feeling, truth and judgement. It is correlated with your Neck, shoulders, arms, hands, thyroid and parathyroid glands. It is related to the senses of inner and outer hearing, healing, the synthesizing of ideas, transformation and purification. The blockage in this chakra could manifest creative blocks, dishonesty, thyroid imbalances, swollen glands, fevers and flu, infections, mouth, jaw, tongue, neck and shoulders problems, hyperactivity, communication problems, hormonal disorders such as PMS, mood swings, bloating and menopause.

4. Heart Chakra

The colour is green and it is located at the centre of chest just above your heart. It is associated with love, compassion, joy, harmony and inner peace. This chakra is said to be the house of the soul. This chakra is correlated with your lungs, heart, arms hands and thymus gland. We fall in love through our heart Chakra, then the feeling of unconditional love proceeds to the emotional spot that is known as the solar plexus. After that it passes on to the sexual spot or Base Chakra where the strong feelings of attraction can be released. When these energies transfers to the Base Chakra you get the desire to marry and settle down. The blockage can lead to weak immune system , lung and heart problems, inhumanity, lack of compassion or unprincipled behavior, heart and breast cancer, heart and breathing problems, chest pain, high blood pressure, passivity and muscular tension.

3. Solar Plexus Chakra

The colour is yellow and is located a few inches above the navel in the solar plexus area that that is the upper abdomen. This chakra is associated with your digestive system, muscles, pancreas and adrenals. It represents your emotional life and the ability of confidence. Feelings of personal power, happiness, laughter, and anger are coordinated with this centre. The blockage could lead to anger, frustration, lack of direction or a sense of victimization, hyperglycemia, ulcers, constipation and nervousness.

2. Sacral Chakra

The colour is orange and it is located between the base of your spine and your navel. It is correlated with your circulatory system, lower abdomen, kidneys, bladder, and your reproductive organs and glands. It is concerned with emotion. This chakra illustrates desire, pleasure, procreation, sexuality and creativity. The blockage may lead to emotional problems, compulsive or obsessive behavior, sexual guilt, depression, eating disorder, low back pain, frigidity and impotency.

1. Root Chakra

The colour is red and is located at the perineum, base of your spine that is tailbone area. This Chakra is close to the earth. It’s function is related to the earthly grounding and physical survival. This Chakra is coordinated with your legs, feet, bones, large intestine and adrenal glands. It controls your fight or flight response, financial independence. The blockage may lead to paranoia, fear, procrastination, depression, cold feet and defensiveness.
