Fluorine Industrial Uses 

Fluorine is considered as the most reactive halogen element. It has much attraction towards metal and hydrogen. In the early stages of its discovery, it was named as ‘fluor’ in fluorspar compound. In 1886, Henry Moissan separated the fluorine from electrolysis of anhydrous hydrofluoric acid with dry potassium hydrogen fluoride. He was awarded the Nobel Prize for this great achievement in 1906. When the fluorine was isolated, its commercial value was inevitable. Since then it had been using in many industrial sectors including metallic products, cleaning agents and the toothpastes.
