Home Remedies To Beat Body Odour

How do you feel when your friends and nearby people don’t come close to you because you stink? 1. Vinegar

Vinegar lowers your pH level of your skin and keeps you all fresh for entire day without any pungent odour. You could soak a cotton ball in vinegar solution and dab on your sweaty areas mostly in your underarms. You could use a sprayer to spray vinegar solution after bath but remember never use any deodorant after applying vinegar. Or you could rinse your sweaty areas with diluted vinegar solution with water while bath.

2. Baking Soda

Baking soda absorbs moisture from your skin and absorbs sweat too. It kills bacteria in your skin and reduces body odour. Baking soda works somehow like a natural deodorant. You could mix 1 tbsp of baking soda and 2 tbps of lemon juice and apply on to your most sweaty areas and leave it for few minutes. Rinse it well and never scrub. Or mix equal amounts of baking soda and cornstarch and apply dry on your sweaty areas which absorbs moist and checks pungent body odour and keeps you fresh for long hours.

3. Rosemary

Rosemary is a herb which restricts odour causing bacteria. The menthol and chlorophyll present in this herb has got natural deodorant properties which neutralizes strong body odour. Soak some rosemary leaves in boiled water for 15 minutes, then add the soaked water to your bath water. Soak your skin for 5-10 minutes and pat dry. Follow this everyday on regular basis for 2-3 weeks. You could also add 8-10 drops of rosemary oil to one ounce of water and apply to your underarms and sweaty areas.

4. Lemon

Lemon also minimizes pH level of your skin like vinegar and inhibits odour causing bacteria. You could apply one half of a lemon squeezing it on your skin for 5 minutes and rinse with water or soak a cotton ball in lemon juice and dab onto your sweaty areas. You could also dilute the lemon juice with clean water to apply on your skin to reduce the high acidic nature of lemon.

5. Witch Hazel

Witch hazel is a herb and has got properties like vinegar. It reduces the pH level of your skin and neutralizes the body odour. It checks the growth of bacteria which increases body odour. Soak a cotton ball in witch hazel and apply to your underarms and other sweaty areas.

6. Apple tea tree oil

It’s an antibacterial herb which has natural antiseptic properties. This reduces body odour distinctly. Mix few drops of apple tea tree oil to water and apply to your underarms or you could store the solution diluted with water in a spray bottle to apply as deodorant.

7. Tomato

Tomatoes have natural antiseptic properties which inhibits the growth of bacteria which causes pungent body odour. Crush few tomatoes and extract the pulp to get its juice and add the juice to your bathing water.

8. Wheatgrass

The chlorophylls present in wheat grass kills excess body odour. Bt excess of wheatgrass could make you feel nausea due to its strong aroma. Mix 2 tbsp of wheatgrass juice to one cup of water and drink every morning in empty stomach.

9. Turnip

Turnip kills odour causing bacteria. Cut the turnips into pieces crush and blend to extract its juice and apply directly to your sweaty areas and leave it to dry. Rinse with water, this Ayurvedic formula checks body odour for minimum 10 hours.

10. Alum stone

Alum is a mineral that has properties to kill bacteria and stop body odour. Simply rub an alum stone to your underarms and sweaty areas like you use the roll on deodorants. If you sweat too much wash the alum stone after use.
