Hosting the Ultimate Christmas Party at Home

Christmas is a wonderful time to get your friends and family together for some festive fun. In the run-up to the holidays, it can be hard to fit everyone into your social calendar, especially if you’re trying to do some last-minute shopping or have office parties to attend, etc. Instead of trying to split your time, why not see them all in one night? Hosting a Christmas party at home could be the perfect solution to making sure you spend quality time with your loved ones over the holidays, not to mention a lot of fun. Here are some great tips on how you can throw the ultimate Christmas party at your house.

Christmas Party

Create a Winter Wonderland

While you might already have your tree standing tall and decorated in the corner, and a few wreaths and garlands strewn about the place, take it one step further and turn your home into a stunning winter wonderland for the occasion. Not only will your home look incredible, but you can enjoy the additional décor after the party’s over, too.

Hire Bartenders

No Christmas party is complete without some sparkling wine, eggnog, and a few cocktails. Even if you’re not much of a drinker yourself, hiring a private bartender like the ones at eventbartenders.com will give your party an edge and leave you free to socialize properly without worrying about topping up people’s drinks all night. You could even ask them to make some mocktails or stock some other festive non-alcoholic drinks for the kids and other guests that don’t drink.

Festive Food

You should always provide your guests with something to eat, especially if you’re serving alcohol at your party. While you might have too many people over for a sit-down meal, you should provide some festive party food that they can fill up on throughout the evening. Canapes, meats, cheeses, and some hot food options are all good things to serve, and check if any of your guests have any food allergies or are vegan/vegetarian to make sure there is plenty of food for them to enjoy, too.

Kid’s Entertainment

If guests are bringing their kids to the party too, make sure they have some entertainment. As the adults stand around and chat with each other, the kids are likely to get bored if there is nothing to do. Set up some classic Christmas movies for them to watch in the den or living room, or put on a festive scavenger hunt to keep them occupied for a few hours.

Playlist

Finally, no party is quite right without some mood music playing in the background. Naturally, Christmas songs will have to appear on your playlist, but break them up with some classics that everyone will enjoy. You could even ask your guests to make some recommendations to you before the party so everyone will have a few songs they like playing on the night.

Get everyone together during the holiday season and throw a fantastic Christmas party. You never know, it could become a new tradition for you all for years to come.
