Tips to Choose the Right Lipstick

Many think that picking the right shade of lipsticks can be a very difficult task, but that is actually not the case.– There are a few simple tricks you can use to find the one that best suits your skin tone. However, the most important thing you need to do is make sure you have a high-quality lipstick, like the amazing lipstick at Vivienne Sabó, with a long-lasting formula. It is said that the most flattering lip colour is the one that is actually 2 shades darker than the natural lip colour of an individual.

But one can also try any colour on their lips, and then, try to find out which suits their face the best and then go for that shade. If one needs to test a shade, then one can apply the lipstick or the lip gloss to one’s lip. If that is 2 shades darker than the other bare lip, then one has found the right shade for them.

But sometimes one may not like darker shades of lipsticks only. They may want to try some lighter shades as well even if they are not deeper than their natural lips. No matter what, one should never buy a lipstick without trying them first. But one should stick to some shades according to their lip shapes.

  • If one has lips which are on the thinner side, then one needs to stick to the light to medium shades of a lip colour. Dark shades can only show off the thin lips. One can also go for the tinted gloss and creamy lipsticks which can be a good bet. The gloss or the creaminess can add some plumpness on the lips.
  • There are many women who think they cannot wear red lipsticks. But red lipsticks are actually timeless, and they can be very elegant. One can choose the right red colour depending on their undertones. The pink skinned girls can go for the cherry red colour and the dark or wheatish skinned ones can also go for the deep reds. If one has olive skin, then they can easily wear fire engine red. But one should never try to match the red lipstick with the outfit because it will never turn out well. One can also apply a lip primer first before applying the red lipstick over it. As a result, one can get a gorgeous sheen of red colour.

One should never throw off the lipsticks which they have bought on impulse and never intend to wear them. One can blend them together and make a nice shade out of it. For the shades that are too bright, one can just tone down the colour with another darker liner.

One should always try and use a lip brush when they are applying strong colours. One also needs to define their lip edges very clearly. One also needs to line their lipsticks and it looks more natural when they are doing it after applying the lipstick.

To keep lipstick from wearing off so fast, fill in lips with liner before applying lipstick. This acts as a proper colour base, so when the lipstick wears off,one still has colour on them.

One can also try the various shades from Sephora lipsticks and get the right shade.
