More Productivity Ways

Being productive and efficient is highly important to sustain and thrive in today’s competitive world. But merely drowning yourself in the mug of a coffee with a long list of planning is not going to solve the problem. Rather a clever and well thought strategy is what can help you to make the most of the day more productive. Taking inspiration from the most productive and successful people is one of the ways of coming closer to what you have been trying to do.

Here are the few habits that you need to include in your daily routine to stay away from all sorts of distractions including your digital gadgets:

1. Cut the List to Half

Just because you need to be more productive and complete all your tasks by the time you close down the work shutters does not mean that you should overload yourself. Make sure that you do not include too much things into your schedule, especially those that you are certain of being impossible to complete. If you have a list of things to-do-today, then, check whether you are sure of completing all of them today or not. If you find the list too stressful, just cut down the tasks and take an approach of doing lesser things and accomplishing them with expertise rather than trying for all and completing nothing in the end.

2. It’s Break Time

Do not expect your brain and body to function nonstop. Take a short break when your brain starts aching or your shoulders seem stiff. Brain functions on the supply of glucose. When all the glucose energy is used, you need to get some fresh air, go for a walk to grab snack or lunch. Sometimes just meditating for five minutes in your place can make you feel recharged and help you to achieve greater efficiency.

3. The 80/20 Rule of Work

It can be hard to believe, but an observation suggests that the 20 percent work that you do with full concentration can help you achieve 80 percent results. Try to cut down those things that do not really matter during your working or can be less effective in increasing your overall productivity and efficiency.   For example, you can cut down your big project systematically into small steps and each day performing 20 percent of the steps to achieve more efficiency and better results.

4. Focus on Yourself at the Start of the Day

Do you have a habit of checking mails and messages the first time you wake up in the morning? If yes, then you are allowing others to dominate what you are to accomplish in the day. The best way is to focus more on your needs the first time in the morning.  Have a good breakfast, read the news, workout or meditate. This will equip you with the necessary fuel for the whole day.

5. Handle the Challenges Before Lunch

Your brain is fresh and more efficient the first time in the morning. Hence, you must perform all the tasks you find challenging before the lunch. It is better to keep the meetings and the seminars in the afternoon. This will help you to become more productive and creative.

Start with implementing all the steps one by one and you will surely see the enhancement in your efficiency and productivity.
