Not All Flexible Packaging Is Created the Same

Flexible Packaging

Flexible packaging is a great option for packaging your product. There are a lot of different benefits of flexible packaging, but each packaging company cannot offer all of them. It is important for you to have a good understanding of your needs before you pick a particular company. For example, if you need to produce a frozen food bag, your needs are going to be different if you need something that will be stored at room temperature. No matter what you choose, however, all flexible packaging should offer some benefits universally, including:

  • Less waste products
  • Prolonged shelf-life
  • Ease in opening

Small Run-Lengths

If your company is relatively small, then small run-lengths is probably a huge priority for you. Any flexible packaging company will have a minimum order requirement, and if the minimum order if greater than your needs, you would not be able to place an order without wasting money. This makes that particular flexible packaging company a bad fit for you.

ePac flexible packaging and some other companies prioritize small run-lengths, which allow you to order fewer packages at once. This makes it possible to easily run promotions, change up your marketing material on the fly, or do targeted marketing.

Quick Turn-Around

Most, but not all, of the companies that prioritize small run-lengths also feature quick turn-around. This allows packaging concepts and designs to get out in the market faster. This is another feature that is more important for small companies. Some flexible packaging companies require six to 12 weeks to ship a product on average, but it is possible for some companies to do the same thing, with a small run of packages, in about two weeks. Because not every flexible packaging company offers the same features, it is a vital part of the process to itemize your needs and find a company that fulfills all of them.
