“PKL: The Abundant Love for a Tournament That Drove Frenzy for an Ancient Game”

The era of Kabaddi has been reunited since it has been introduced in the Indian Olympic game which took place in 1938, since then the people have been interested in the sport. The Rules were made and new rules were added to the books after the arrival of the Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India (AKFI).

The game consists of 2 teams each of 7 players and the main objective of the game is to earn points by going for Raid which means a single player walks into the opposite team’s box and they get a point if they return to their teams’ box if they touch the opponent’s. The opposing team also will get rewarded with a point if they stop their raider.  

It was believed that the Japanese were who brought kabaddi as a sport in the earlier time. The game has always kept the viewers entertained and also has created a life for many sportspersons. The game takes up to a total of 40 minutes which is two halves of 20 minutes each.  

The Pro Kabaddi was the development of the sport after the idea of the Indian Premier League. In which the people had both been keen on watching both the sports. Since then, the popularity of both IPL and PKL had hiked up both by the viewers on social media and on television.
