Being socially flexible and adaptable is a key factor of productivity, creativity and improved personality. Socially active people are more successful than those who are less socially active and flexible. Being extrovert and socialite has many benefits such as increase of lifespan, active immune system, less stress, personality development, improved mental health and staying motivated. But some people find it little tough to become socializer due to their shyness and hesitancy. No worries, if you think you are not that socially flexible and active as here I am gonna pen down some effective ways of being socially active and adaptable. Read on..

1. Be open minded

You can’t be confined within your conservative and limited thoughts if you need to blend socially. Your social circle is much bigger than you think, so you have to broaden your thoughts, interactions and opinions and attitude. And the crucial factor to get wide attitude is being open minded.

2. Be genuine

Trust me or not, there’s a moment in everyone’s life when all would have felt an unknown weird fear, hesitancy and downhearted during any interaction or conversation, at least once in a life time. That’s because you were not true and genuine. Try to be yourself. Get engaged fully in the conversation and try to maintain a proper balance or else talking much about yourself could prove you as a narcissist.

3. Be positive

Yeah, positivity in your attitude, opinions and thoughts attract people and influence others easily. Negativity repel people. You can’t ever be a socializer unless you are an optimistic person. Optimistic persons are always generous, kind, hopeful and helpful, hence they attract people more.

4. Keep smiling

The best ever body language you can have while interacting with any kind of people which makes you strong and attractive is keeping a smile over your face. Make it a habit, to smile whether you feel like smiling or not. Smile makes you confident and calm to approach people easily and getting their attention beautifully.

5. Never compare

Try not to compare people with others and yourself with others. Whenever you compare yourself with others this creates fear, nervousness, insecurities in your mind which makes you weaker and introvert. Comparing people with whom you are interacting with others is like creating confusions and wrong impressions. No one likes to be compared any way.

6. Find out your best qualities

Write it down, make a list, create a note on your cellphone whatever but figure out what are your specialities and positive qualities. So, that whenever you mingle with people next time, you would be fully aware of your abilities and could use them wisely to attract people.

7. Accept your negative thoughts and insecurities

It’s totally not possible for any person not to get any negative thoughts and not to dwell in any insecurities. But, as you know these are unavoidable and indestructible, hence you have to accept and cope with your negative qualities and insecurities. So, that you will be no more frustrated for your weaknesses and will become a true and genuine socialite.

8. Let things go

Remember, in this whole world you can’t impress every single person no matter how hard you try. If people ignore you, reject you or dislike you then let them. Don’t waste your precious time over them. Let things go. You will feel happy and stress free. You will be more socially flexible and powerful.

9. Be kind and be bold

Some people get confused with this idea that how one could be brave and kind at a time? Being brave is all about your strong heart and mind which controls your activity and speech. Being kind is all about your expressions, response, attitude and behaviour which makes other people comfortable and friendly to interact with you.

10. Have friendly body language

Don’t push yourself towards a corner when you are in party or a reunion. There are some body languages which makes you arrogant and weird hence people get repelled from you. Crossing over arms, giving a frowning expression over your face, looking down surely repels people. Keep smiling, give a nod or a single wave, or a high five, making eye contact welcomes people to get friendly and sociable with you.

11. Invite people and friends

Be it a party, or a night out, basketball match or even social networking connect with mutual and new people. Invite them and offer your friendship this makes you more amicable and open minded and attract people towards you.

12. Accept invitations too

Same gets implied on you too. If someone offers friendship to you or invites you to hangout or join them then accept the invitation. Be friendly, supportive and kind. This makes people comfortable with you and you never know you might become the life of your social circle.

13. Initiate interactions and conversations

Don’t wait for others to initiate. As I said be genuine and positive, hence initiating interaction is no bad. It’s totally decent and welcoming. Start blending yourself with people kindly and generously. Be comfortable with others and make them feel comfortable.

14. Be ready to apologize

If mistakenly, you did something wrong or said some words that hurt people or friends then step forward and feel brave to apologize. A single sorry could mend broken hearts, relationships and interactions. This will show your generosity and modesty. People will appreciate your effort.

15. Add social life to your priority

Social life is way too important to cope with people and environment. It helps you in many ways and keeps you healthy. Promotes personality development and creates awareness. So, don’t stay confined with a room and your thoughts, get out of your lone zone and get a social and amicable life. Because the first and foremost thing to become socially active is commencing to.
