Best Honeymoon Locations

The destination that you choose for your honeymoon is one of the most important vacation decisions you’ll ever make, and so it’s fair enough if you want to spend some time researching your options to make sure that you pick the perfect place to visit.

We think that going on your honeymoon should be as relaxing and as stress-free as possible, and so we’ve done what we can to take some of the stress away for you. Here are just a few of our favorite honeymoon locations.

The world’s best honeymoon locations

1. Bahamas

Who wouldn’t want to pay a visit to the Bahamas? It’s a popular hotspot for celebrities and regular Joes alike, and there’s a good reason why it’s so appealing to couples who are celebrating their love. The food is great, the locals are friendly, the hotels are luxurious and all of these factors combine to make for a honeymoon you’ll never forget.

2. Tahiti

Tahiti is another one of those stunning places where there’s such natural biodiversity that there’s something stunning for you to see behind every other corner. In particular, we’d recommend hopping on a cruise to Tahiti so that you can see it from the sea. This will give you a glimpse of a lot of the local wildlife, too.

3. Cape Town

Cape Town has undergone a dramatic regeneration in recent years and is now definitely up there ranking against the best honeymoon destinations that the rest of the world has to offer. You can spend your entire vacation in the city or go further afield to explore the countryside. The area is also known for the stunning wine that it produces, so feel free to have a glass or two while you’re at it.

4. Norway

What could be more romantic than witnessing the northern lights with your loved one during the honeymoon of a lifetime? There are plenty of reasons to visit and few to miss it, and the only thing to bear in mind is that you’ll want to plan your visit carefully to make sure that you’re giving yourself the best possible chance of seeing the aurora.

5. Greece

Greece is full of beautiful spots for you and your loved one to visit, and the real challenge here can be finding the one spot to settle down in. In fact, one option is to hire a car and to head off on a road trip so that you can see as much of the country as possible. Alternatively, if you do want to stay in a single spot, we’d have to recommend Santorini, a beautiful volcanic island where you can get away from the crowds and fall in love with each other all over again.

6. Thailand

Thailand is like Greece in that there are a bunch of different hotspots for you to consider, from the beaches of Koh Tao to the thriving nightlife of Bangkok and the digital nomad paradise of Chang Mai. There’s also plenty of local wildlife and some historical hotspots that are just as fascinating as anything that the western world has to offer.

7. Aruba

Aruba has earned the nickname of the “Happy Island” because it’s in the perfect place to get the best possible weather without being on the receiving end of hurricanes and monsoons. If it’s the Caribbean that you’re interested in visiting, Aruba is a pretty safe bet because you can go at any time of the year and expect beautiful weather, a warm reception and plenty of cocktails on the beach.

8. Havana

Havana is an adventurous little honeymoon spot that also comes with its fair share of fascinating local history and some of the best food on the planet. You can have a stroll past Ernest Hemingway’s old house and relax on the beaches by day while drinking rum and smoking quality cigars by night. There are also plenty of beaches and swimming spots if you want to get into the water, and most of the locals speak English and so there’s no pressure to learn the lingo.

Conclusion

Now that you know just a few of the most beautiful places in the world for you to visit during your honeymoon, it’s over to you and your partner to finalize your plans and to start booking things in. After all, with a wedding to plan as well, the last thing that you want is to have honeymoon plans hanging over your head.

The good news is that by now, you should know everything you need to know to book a honeymoon that you and your partner will never forget. Just don’t forget to take plenty of photos so that you can show them to your future grandkids! Happy travels!
