Tips For First Time Marijuana Users

There’s no doubt that the United States is becoming more accepting of recreational marijuana use; it’s currently legal in ten states plus the District of Colombia.

However, if you are going to be using marijuana, it’s important to know that you need to do so in a manner that is safe and responsible, because as with anything else that you ingest (sugar, alcohol, etc.) you don’t want to do so in a way that will lower your overall quality of life.

With that in mind, here are the top tips for first time marijuana users:

1. Be Hydrated First

Getting high on marijuana is only going to cause you to feel more dehydrated, and that’s why you’re going to want to drink plenty of water before you smoke a joint.

The feeling of waking up after getting stoned and being fully dehydrated on top of that is not a very pleasant one, and you’ll find out for yourself if you don’t drink water beforehand.

Taking small sips of water throughout the day (around one sip for every ten to fifteen minutes) is a good way to ensure that you remain hydrated. If you drink all of the water all at once, you’ll actually waste a lot of the water because your body won’t be able to absorb all of the nutrients.

2. Ensure Your Schedule Is Clear

If this really is the first time you’re going to receive a trip from the marijuana delivery service, you’ll want to ensure that your schedule is cleared up for the day and the day after. This is because it’s possible to pass out later getting high for the first time, so you want to ensure that you don’t have any other commitments such as work until you get better.

Even if you don’t pass out, you’ll still likely be feeling a little under the weather, and you’ll want to sleep anyway. So it’s a good idea to have mail order marijuana at least twenty four hours before you have anything else to do.

3. Be Responsible About It

This is just a general precaution. Just as you don’t want to drink alcohol too much, you don’t want to smoke weed too much either. You also want to be careful about how much you’re having before you do anything that’s potentially hazardous, such as driving a vehicle.

Marijuana is safe, but only when used in moderate amounts. Furthermore, every individual reacts a little differently to it. If this is your first time, don’t go overboard. You can also try different cannabis variations to regulate the level THC that you’re consuming.

4. Don’t Sacrifice Sleep

Again, you may or may not pass out after getting high for the first time, but you’re probably going to want to sleep no matter what.

It’s very important that you adhere yourself to a healthy sleeping pattern, so the chances of you dozing off the next day are limited. It may be a good idea to plan on going to bed a little bit earlier and waking up a little bit later just to get at least a couple hours extra.

5. Exercise and Eat Healthily

Ideally, you’ll be exercising and eating in a healthy manner already. But if you’re going to be smoking a joint, this becomes extra important.

You need to exercise vigorously throughout the week, to help protect your health and to boost your quality of life. Eating healthy goods will also be a major energy booster when smoking a joint can cause you to become sleepy and actually lose energy.

Ingesting too much marijuana and not focusing on your health can result in unwanted weight gain. Don’t give into your unhealthy food cravings; go for the chicken salad over the fast food drive thru meal.

6. Using Marijuana Safely and Responsibly

All in all, these are the top tips that you will want to keep in mind if you are a first time marijuana user and if you agree that when using cannabis, you should do so safely and responsibly.

Ingesting marijuana means that you need to stick to the same responsibilities that you should follow when drinking alcohol or other stimulants if you don’t want it to lower your overall quality of life and protect your well-being.

Doing so will ensure that you live a life that is happier and more productive.
