Depression at close glance

Anxiety and depression can pop up in your head anytime. Some people wake up in the morning with depression and emptiness feeling, some experience it whole day, some get it in evening and people like me feel it at night time. Well, depression is something like you know you are drowning in the water but you are helpless, want to come out of the water but you are unable to find any way to save yourself. Depression at night time tends to become far more overwhelming, as I think this is because at the night, we get more lonely time to think and slow down as at the day time we have lot more things and work to get done and the various noises around us easily drown the sounds of our own depressed thoughts.

Reasons why depression occurs at night

#1. Most people have the tendency to over think about the things when they get some spare time. Doing this, can push you into the intense cloud of negative thoughts, hence drown you in depression at night and ending up with lots and lots of tears.

#2. Work stress is another reason which yields depressed thoughts. People over indulge them in work and pressure, and too much work often result in failures. And the failure after all day work, gets nurtured at night when it’s replayed in the mind of that person, making the person realize that he/she is a loser or whatever happening is all brutal and he/she is doomed.

#3. Distractions for a depressed person works best and worst at the same time. All day distraction keeps a person busy and far away from depression and anxiety which makes a person feel better, but when the day get’s over, at the night, the only sound which is audible is silence, and then comes the dark cloud of bad, negative, sad and all kind of anxiety and depressed thoughts.

#4. Family is the most important section of everybody’s life, but if any disturbance hits the family creating all messed up environment by fights and arguments, negative thoughts take no time to reappear at night mostly.

#5. Emotional movies, or messages or videos after dinner can activate your weaker part of mind stimulating the negative and depressed thoughts to run all around your mind.

#6. Consistent failures in work and personal life can make anyone feel low and helpless. And more worse, when there’s no one to help or to share with. All the negative thought gets accumulated in your mind and explodes at night when you are most weak by mind and heart giving you more and more depressed feelings. Some people even become so helpless and low that they even feel like committing suicide, however, these suicidal thoughts occur only at night times.

#7. Loneliness is another strong reason, which gives rise to depression. If a person is not in a relationship or not married, or even staying separate and busy that he/she has no one to interact except his work and working staffs, then that person is more prone to depression at night, as he finds himself busy at work all day and no one beside him/her to share his/her troubles and issues after work.
