Whole Body Vibration Training

Fashion and fitness have always been connected. People often do fitness motivated by their fashionable desires. And at the same time, style helps many in getting more excited and comfortable with their fitness regime. Though it’s not usually the most important factor, what people wear has a lot of weight with how they exercise. It gives them confidence, a sort of comfort, and frequently, a motivation to do better. And even though it’s a relaxing exercise, this includes whole-body vibration therapy. In fact, the clothes you wear for this fitness regime might be more complicated than the more mainstream strenuous activities.

For a lot of people, choosing their gear for using a vibrating machine isn’t as easy as it might seem. You have to take into account the right garb that will further help you reap the benefits of the exercise. But to help you out, here are some that might prove to be fair and fashionable.

Oversized Shirts

Oversized shirts have been a fixture in workout fashion since time immemorial. And why not? They’re incredibly comfortable, not complicated to wear, loose enough, and they’ve gone back in style in recent years. But what makes it suitable for whole-body vibration training is that it keeps the body free, loose and accessible. This sort of exercise is one that the body needs to feel. Your body needs to experience the vibrations first-hand and not let numerous articles of clothing make it more difficult. And since this is a relaxing workout, why not wear relaxing clothes to it to go all-in?

Tank Tops

On the opposite side of this spectrum, yet also gives the same effect, are tank tops. You might think that tank tops are made for fitness to show off one’s toned arms and shapely torso simply. And while there’s some truth to that, the real reason is that, despite its often tight fit, it’s also one of the more comfortable pieces when it comes to exercise style. It’s airy and open, helping you feel refreshed during and after any intense workout. But when it comes to whole-body vibration training, it also gives your body as much as access to feel the vibrations first-hand truly.

Cycling Shorts

So now that your tops choose, it’s time to go for bottoms? Do you go for jeans? Slacks? Cargo pants? None of the above! When it comes to your legs, the tighter (yet still comfortable!) your pair is, the better! Case in point: cycling shorts. Not only are they cool and fit, similarly to tank tops, but they also allow your body to be free enough to feel each and every vibration while on the exercise machine. Though cycling shorts are not always the most fashionable item of clothing out there, they work well and are still very stylish in a workout setting.

Leggings

Some might argue, however, that wearing cycling shorts for whole-body vibration training is too chilly. Unlike wearing them on more strenuous exercises, cycling in particular, the activity and mobility of such work-outs help warm you up with all the adrenaline pumping. But for a relaxing practice such as using a vibrating plate, cycling shorts may feel a little too cold, especially during the chillier seasons of the year. So a good alternative is leggings. Fitness fashion fixtures in of themselves, leggings will work for any person who wants to take on vibration exercising during the coldest months of fall and winter.

Light Socks

And to keep your feet warm? Socks! But the kind of socks also still factor in. Similarly to most of the garments mentioned so far, if your socks are too thick, it won’t help you reap the benefits of whole-body vibration training as much. In fact, out of all of the pieces you’ll wear, your socks will practically matter the most. Your feet, after all, are what actually touches the vibrating machine. And if your socks are too thick, you’re less likely to feel and experience the vibrations first-hand. So light socks are the way to go when doing this exercise.

Light Sneakers

In a similar principle, your shoes should be light as well. Though if you’re working out at home, you don’t necessarily need shoes, it’s when you’re doing whole-body vibration in the gym that you’ll need to sport light sneakers. Here, you’re not playing basketball or any other sport, so you won’t need the thick rubber shoes that have become more popular in those sports. For exercising with a vibrating machine, the thinner your boots are, the better. Beyond feeling the vibrations, such sneakers will also allow you to incorporate a myriad of other exercises with your whole-body vibration training to make it more useful for you.

Thin Hoodies

All of the clothes that have been mentioned here are mostly thin and light. But when the climate becomes too cold, such items of clothing won’t necessarily warm you up as much. So the key to counter all of this is layering. On top of your oversized or tank tops and cycling shorts or leggings, wear a thin hoodie as well. Again, delicate materials are vital for you to feel the vibrations first-hand, even if you already have other layers underneath. Fortunately, lightweight hoodies are all available in all sorts of stores, malls, and shopping centers around.

Stopwatch

And finally, perhaps one of the most essential things on this list: a stopwatch. Whole-body vibration training is mostly about time. It’s not how hard you do it, it’s how often you do it and how consistent you are at it. So why not wear something that can help you stay on track? The moment you turn on that vibrating plate set your stopwatch and have the time of your life. And the moment your watch goes off, it’s time to hop off. Ultimately, the gadget keeps you aware of how much and how well your whole-body vibration training is going.

Whole-body vibration training can still be one of the more fashionable exercises in the fitness world. It’s all a matter of choosing the right pies for the sake of style, comfort, and effectiveness.
