Luxury Travel Without the Price Tag

Luxury Travel in Budget Income

We have all heard of or seen those luxury travel vacations or moments that seem incredible, even other-worldly. The reality of most (if not all) of those luxury travel snapshots is that they generally come with a luxury price tag. This is the nature of life as we know it; if it seems quite expensive, it generally is (with the rare exception, of course). We all want to experience the best that life has to offer, and sometimes that means taking the leap and spending that little (or a lot) extra to make it happen. But does it? well, not anymore. These days, when there is a will, there is a way, and it is no different when it comes to luxury travel for the many people. Here are three ways to get a luxury trip, on a budget income.

1. Travel off season

Every luxury travel experience and moment, from exploring the USA in a mustang, to sailing around on luxury yachts in Dubai, can be cheaper if you travel off season. There is always an influx of cost to meet demand, and when you opt to travel off season as opposed to during the busy times of the year for a set location, you could find yourself privy to special deals that serve up the same luxury experiences, for a lower cost (even if just a fraction of a discount, it is still a discount, right?). Travelling off season also means that you get to experience a different perspective on a destination, and often (if not always) without the looming crowds that flock there during prime travel season.

2. Travel for longer periods

There is an underrated truth that when you choose to extend your travels, certain discounts tend to pop up. Everything from accommodation and transport, to workspaces (if you are a digital nomad) or even flights, often has discount codes for booking for longer durations. Travelling to luxury destinations for longer periods also means that you get to explore them more thoroughly, giving you a deeper connection and understanding of them, the locals, and the cultures. And really, who would rather spend one week as opposed to two, three, or even four (maybe even more) weeks somewhere?

3. Travel off the beaten path

The most exciting part of travelling is finding hidden gems to explore. We all know that there are certain destinations around the world that have that luxury feel – and the price tag to match, but what about similar destinations that are not as riddled with tourists, and thus less expensive? Rather than Santorini, try a quieter Greek city, or even another island that boasts similar weather, culture, and natural sights. Similarly, rather than Bali – an island that, if you want to live large, can be and often is quite expensive – try the close Nusa islands. Travelling off the beaten path to similar destinations gives you the luxury vibes without having to shell out the luxury-incurred funds to get there and enjoy it in every aspect.
