Thriller is one genre that excites a lot of people among us. Through the elements of realism, thriller movie speaks to a lot of people which is not the case with the other genres. And it is this very realism, that makes us go back to them time and again. Looming the reality is not always easy as it sounds unless of course it is based on real life. There is just something about movies that are based on real life that gets us psyched about it in no time. Today, we are counting down some of the thrilling movies to come out from Bollywood that is based on real life.

Why Cheat India is about this con man who tries to use the loopholes in the Indian education system to his advantage. 2. Parmanu

The Story of Pokhran: Permanu is a 2018 Indian historical action drama is based on India’s second confidential nuclear test which was led by our late President of India Dr A. P. J. Abdul Kalam.  Set in the backdrops of 1998’s Pokhran, Parmanu also sheds light on various issues that prevailed in India in the 80s. Director Abhishek Sharma did a fantabulous job in delivering an edge-of-the-seat experience. The lead actor John Abraham was taken aback by the overwhelming response from the audience.

3. URI – The Surgical Strike

It is not only the latest movie in the list, but it is also one of the most successful movies of 2019 and is on its way to earn a lot of awards. Uri- The Surgical Strike is based on the Uri attack that took place in 2016. In an attempt to commemorate the fallen heroes, Aditya Dhar left no stones unturned to make this a 2019 super-hit film. The movie also features the best actors that Bollywood has to offer like Vicky Kaushal, Paresh Rawal, Yami Gautam and many more.

4. The Ghazi Attack

The Ghazi Attack shows the struggle of the unsung heroes of our Indian Navy, who spends days and nights protecting us. The movie takes cover from spills the beans about the submarine PNS Ghazi and the mystery behind its sinking. The Ghazi attack is a bilingual movie that was concurrently shot in Telugu and Hindi. This 2017 Indian naval war movie had some of best actors from the Indian film industry like Rana Daggubati, Nassar, Taapsee Pannu, Kay Kay Menon and Atul Kulkarni.

5. Madras Cafe

There is no denying that John Abraham is perfect to represent the Indian Army officers on the big screen. The proof of that can be seen from both the movies listed in this list. Madras Cafe is about this about the RAW agent who is on a mission break a resolute rebel group. The movie has a fast pace that pikes up the viewing experience. We can bet that this movie can go toe to toe with some of the best spy thriller that Hollywood has to offer, which is why you should not miss out on this one.
