Landmark Forum Montreal Courses: An Introduction

Landmark Forum

The Landmark Forum Montreal, a local chapter of Landmark Worldwide, offer courses designed to help participants change their worldview. Their method challenges students to rethink what it means to communicate, think, and act, aiming to help them overcome obstacles and achieve the future they have always wanted.

The main course at Landmark Montreal, the Landmark Forum, is held over three consecutive days (usually Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) and ends on an evening wrap-up session. During these sessions, participants learn how to face their fears, their pasts, and their old ways of thinking to make way for new possibilities they may have never imagined for themselves. Students learn about the things in their lives that hold them back and how to avoid giving those things power over their decisions.

In addition to the main Landmark Forum course, students can also join other educational opportunities at Landmark Forum Montreal. Those who want to delve deeper into a particular topic addressed in the regular course may want to attend an evening seminar. Held during 10 sessions over the course of three months, the seminars discuss ideas including money, relationships, and creativity. The Advanced Course at Landmark gives students an opportunity to study the program’s ideas further. It follows the same format (three full days and an evening session), picking up where the regular course stopped.

Students who want to know more about Landmark’s theories on communication may follow up with “The Communication Course: Access to Power” and later “The Advanced Communication Course: The Power to Create.” These courses follow the same format as the regular course. Those who want to learn how to be better leaders or build their self-esteem can attend the Self-Expression and Leadership Program. This course meets once a month over a four-month period and is for more advanced Landmark students, as both the Landmark Forum and the Advanced Course are prerequisites to sign up.

If students wish to get involved with the Landmark Forum further, there are many opportunities for them. The Landmark Assistance Program trains individuals to contribute in a range of areas including administration and event planning. The Presentation Facilitators Program teaches advanced students leadership and public speaking skills. Finally, the Team, Management, and Leadership Program helps students who are familiar with Landmark to manage teams and lead Landmark courses in their communities.

The Landmark Forum Montreal isn’t just for adults. They also offer the Landmark Teen Forum for students ages 13 and older. During a three-day course held over one weekend, teens tackle issues relevant to them, like peer pressure and parent relationships, through the lens of Landmark’s ideologies.

After taking the main educational course at the Landmark Forum Montreal, participants may see the world in a new way. With various opportunities to follow up on topics they were particularly interested in, students can study with Landmark according to their needs.
