2 Popular Hemp Products That Are Not CBD Oil

Hemp Soap Products

Of course nearly everyone has become familiar with CBD oil as a product that’s derived from the hemp plant, but what about some of the other incredible hemp products that haven’t gotten as much of the spotlight? CBD capsules, CBD vaporizers, CBD gummies, all these products are very well known in the CBD community globally. But as the cannabis industry continues to expand, we are seeing a shift in what products are available and the uses of marijuana and hemp plants. There are two products in particular that are really gaining steam for those who are interested in plant-based options for their everyday needs.

What is Hemp?

Okay, so hemp itself is a member of the Cannabis family, specifically the Cannabis Sativa plant. Hemp plants contain less than 0.3 percent THC, which is the cannabinoid that’s responsible for producing intoxicating effects upon consumption. The hemp plant is however rich in the other prevalent cannabinoid of the cannabis plant, which is CBD. CBD does not contain any psychoactive properties, and thus this is for the moment the most popular form of hemp. What’s become of note recently are hemp clothing and hemp soap, both of which contain amazing benefits and are seeing an increase in demand. It in is legal to grow industrial hemp, after the passing of the 2018 Farm Bill, as long as it contains low levels of THC that don’t exceed 0.3 percent.

1. Hemp Clothing

Hemp was the first plant to be spun into a fiber around 1937 and has since made its debut again in the world of fashion. One of the most notable benefits of using hemp to make clothing is that it is one of the strongest fabrics in the world. This means that your clothes will be very durable and people can get many more wears out of their clothing without having to worry about repairs or spending an exorbitant amount of money on replacing clothes that were easily torn or damaged. What’s more, durable clothes means that you can wash your favorite garments without having to worry about your clothes shrinking in the dryer. Another concern with clothing is when colors fade easily, but hemp absorbs dye efficiently and more so than cotton.

Hemp is also versatile and can be blended with other fabrics seamlessly to reach a desired quality. Additionally, hemp is weather resistant and mold resistant as well. It also protects your skin from UV rays and doesn’t become damaged in harsh weather conditions such as extreme humidity. One of the best uses for hemp clothing is for outdoor wear. You can do hiking, rock climbing, camping etc, and be assured that your clothes won’t be compromised. Hemp fabric is also more eco-friendly than its competitors. When being grown and cultivated, the hemp plant is not harsh on the soil and doesn’t deplete the soil the way in which cotton does. Due to the way that it is grown, industrial hemp is also free of pesticides and other harsh chemicals.

2. Hemp Soap

Hemp soap is quickly becoming a popular product for its ability to treat sensitive skin conditions such as acne and eczema. As stated previously, it doesn’t have the ability to make you feel “high” because it contains extremely low levels of THC, therefore it’s not only legal, but it’s kid-friendly as well. Hemp soap is excellent for moisturizing the skin with vitamin E. It also contains essential fatty acids such as omega-3 and omega-6, which are great at soothing the skin and reducing inflammatory reactions such as redness, itchiness, dryness ,and other forms of skin irritation. Hemp also contains vitamin A which is perfect for producing the effects of antioxidants in the sense that it fights the signs of aging in the skin such as wrinkles and fine lines. Lastly, hemp soap promotes skin cell renewal and it’s an eco friendly option to what’s currently on the shelves.

It’s no problem if you purchase your regular CBD products such as CBD oil, CBD capsules, sprays, etc. Just don’t sleep on the hemp!
