A friendly face can make a huge difference to how quickly you settle into your new space.

Therefore, the communal facilities at your new accommodation can have a big impact on how easy it is to find new friends. Communal areas such as common rooms, kitchens, gyms or cinema rooms can offer plenty of opportunities to socialize outside of lectures and study groups. Other facilities such as onsite laundry rooms can also be a big bonus.
