Most Popular Emojis

Emojis have become such an integral part of our communication, it would make sense to say that every day is World Emoji Day to some extent. On this fun day, we’ve decided to pair 3 of our favorite emojis with the mobile apps that turn them from drawings to reality.

Here are the apps and emojis that are a match made in mobile heaven:

1. Tinder: The winking face 😉

This little flirt sends a strong message during the first conversations on dating sites. It works best with Tinder because we would expect to find the less serious side of dating when using this app (although anything can happen and sure, you know at least 3 couples who first met on Tinder and are now married with kids). It is one of those emojis that are all about subtext and something that rhymes with subtext. Wink wink!

2. 88 Fortunes: The gift 🎁

The gift emoji is mostly used when sending birthday texts (remember when we used to pick up the phone and call?), but when playing pretty much any type of casino, slots or cash app, it works just as well. We could have easily paired a mobile casino app like 88 Fortunes with a money or coins emoji, but the gift feels more appropriate. In addition to the awesome rewards you can win by spinning the slots, it embodies the gift of fun and excitement these apps bring millions of players around the world.

3. Headspace: The folded hands 🙏

There are all kinds of interpretations to the folding hand’s emoji. Some say it symbolizes a high-five, others attribute it to a prayer or a thank you gesture, and so on. One of our favorite meanings for this emoji is the Hindu greeting Namaste, which works well with the famous meditation app Headspace. This app will turn your mobile into a serenity source like you wouldn’t believe, keeping you centered and mindful.

What do you say? Did you have different apps in mind when looking at these or other emojis? Let us know in the comments! Extra points if you manage to deliver your message using only – you’ve guessed it – emojis. Happy World Emoji Day everyone!
